“We received a recall notice advising that the stationary roof panel located between the windshield and sunroof was not bonded correctly and could full detach from the vehicle. while driving on the freeway I heard a wind noise coming from the roof and then without warning the roof panel flew off the vehicle onto the freeway lanes. NHTSA complaint #11420467, filed 2021-06“The panoramic sunroof failed to close after it was opened. I attempted to close the sunroof after use and it stayed open. This is concerning as debris could have flown into the car and impaired operation. Another concern is the short-circuiting/fire risk of the internal wiring and components in the event of rain. We took the car to the dealership where an associate told us that this is a common problem with CLA class cars. This was the only inspection of the car thus far. There were no messages or warnings prior to the failure.”
NHTSA complaint #11454305, filed 2022-02“Factory window tint of the back window & the driver/passenger side(s) windows are bubbling and peeling causing visual impairment while operating motor vehicle. Examples of impairment are backing the vehicle and changing lanes & these affected areas are blurry. Panaramic Sunroof does not seal properly when closed. Factory vehicle paint bubbling and peeling causing depreciation of the vehicle.”
