“On busy fast california freeway when traffic slowed, so did I, then I went to speed up to keep up with traffic and my car would not move. I was pressing accelerator and my car literally was not moving! My check service engine light came on (no warning, just now) I was so scared! I put my hazards on, and I had to drive a few miles going 25 MPH, and making my way across lanes to get off the freeway to safety. Once off freeway I pulled over and turned car off. When assistance arrived my Nissan Murano started fine and appeared ok. …”

NHTSA complaint #10938334, filed 2016-12, 140,000 miles

“Replaced alternator and battery car drives short distance and just stops accelerating and than won't start back up unless jumped. Will not drive a mile without going limp and no acceleration”

NHTSA complaint #11322136, filed 2020-04, 146,500 miles

“I'd like to start by saying this is my 3rd or 4th complaint pertaining to the same issue and I have yet to get a response. Customers have the option to list their complaints, however, I believe this is a serious matter not to mention safety issue. There's no rhyme or reason this matter should be over looked by no means. …”

NHTSA complaint #10892876, filed 2016-08

“My 2004 Nissan Murano jerks to the left side as you give it gas and driving. It just jerks on it's own and heads in the direction of anything or object that's on the passenger side. I had a broken motor mount and told that was all it was and by replacing it that it would stop doing the jerking. I changed the motor mount, which needed replaced anyway, but it didn't correct the problem. This is very dangerous as it can put you into another car, ditch, tree, etc.. I've sent this problem in before and I've had no response. This issue needs to be addressed!!! …”

NHTSA complaint #11338251, filed 2020-07

“The date on this form could have been the first date not really sure, the most recent was one of the frightening times the vehicle stopped right in the middle of the street about (4) four times. This was traumatizing we could have been hit by several vehicles. The vehicle started jerking then all of a sudden stopped right in the middle of the street. One time reported to NHTSA, we were in the vehicle driving along and all of a sudden without a warning the vehicle stopped. No jerking , no warning light, nothing. …”
