“P0299 under boost codes. After being thrown into limp mode and almost getting me and my family killed I got my dodge ecodiesel to the dealership. Said its a software issue and there is no fix. Was told to that its fine after they just cleared the engine light. Great customer service!! Just send them back out in the death trap.”

NHTSA complaint #11040991, filed 2017-10, 36,000 miles

“I have the Ram ecodiesel 2015 model. It always had a slight hesitation in the accelerator which I consider normal. After having the software update for the emissions standards I now have a 3-5 second delay in acceleration which has caused me several times to almost be involved in accidents”

NHTSA complaint #11229555, filed 2019-07, 101,300 miles

“I have had two problems with my vehicle. The first is that the cruise control intermediately works and then doesn't at times. The second, is that the power steering intermediately works and then suddenly will go out in middle of a turn. I took it to a local mechanic and he hooked his scanner to it and although there were no warning lights on, he reset the computer in the vehicle. This action worked for approximately one hour and the then the issue with the power steering returned. …”

NHTSA complaint #11405921, filed 2021-04, 119,000 miles

“Was driving down a highway and all the warning lights lit up like a christmas tree on the dash. Then the vehicle started to slow down by itself and then started to take off by itself. As I was slowing down it leaped forward into oncoming traffic when I was trying to turn off the highway. This is the second time this has happened with this vehicle. The first time this happened the dealership couldn't make it repeat so they sent me on my way with no resolution. …”

NHTSA complaint #11205321, filed 2019-05, 66,000 miles

“White stopped in traffic on a highway, after removing my foot from brake pedal, vehicle quickly accelerated without me putting my foot on the gas pedal. Check engine light and electronic throttle control light came on soon after. Vehicle would continue to accelerate (without me placing my foot on gas pedal) when I removed my foot from brake pedal. Vehicle is presently at dodge dealership in vancouver, wa.”
