“Multiple instances, when using cruise control switches becomes inactive, will not power on and sometimes will not cancel setting forcing me to tap the brakes to disengage. On one occasion when using the set button it reverted back to a previous higher speed and started unintended acceleration, I was able to cancel by tapping the brakes.”

NHTSA complaint #11375860, filed 2020-11, 19,000 miles

“On 2-23-21 my service airbag system light, service antilock brake system light, service electronic stability control light, ABS light came on and cruise control stopped working on my 2019 Ram 1500. The truck is under warranty and the dealership is making me drive my vehicle because they dont have the parts to fix it.”

NHTSA complaint #11402711, filed 2021-03, 29,600 miles

“I started my truck and before I could put it in gear, a 'throttle failure' warning message appeared on my dash along with several warning lights/symbols. I had no throttle response and the engine was stuck at approximately 1,000 RPM's. I 'limped' home at a near idle. I could press the gas pedal a little or a lot, and got nothing from the truck.”

NHTSA complaint #11192800, filed 2019-03, 5,500 miles

“I was driving forward at approximately 20 MPH. I attempted to slow down by letting off the accelerator pedal, but the truck kept going. I was able to stop, by using the brake, but if I let off the brake, the truck would accelerate. I drove to dealership without using the accelerator pedal. The truck was literally stuck at 1500 RPM's. A 'throttle failure' message appeared on the dash, along with basically every warning light and symbol.”

NHTSA complaint #11192796, filed 2019-03, 5,000 miles

“The dash lights go out and this makes the instrument panel very hard to see, even when backing the camera also goes dark, this happens when the vehicle is in motion and when not in motion. The cruise control does not always engage when the cruise is on. This happens while driving the vehicle. Obviously the back up camera when backing. In motion. This is not a one time thing it happens off and on when in the vehicle. I do not have any pictures as I am usually driving when it happens.”
