“Was in a major car accident on freeway a van hit me from behind going 65mph or more made me spin into oncoming traffic & was hit again from the front side head on either side car going 65mph or plus. Airbags did not deploy. I’m lucky to be alive. Major head concussion, neck, shoulders, whole back, arm, wrist, my knee, my hands. More than month now out of work, dizziness, random unconsciousness just terrible”
NHTSA complaint #11771197, filed 2026-10“Air bags did not deploy. We were hit at 35 miles per hour on the front driver side by someone running the red light. It is currently located at a repair facility waiting for an estimate by the insurance company. The problem has not been reproduced and we did not have any warning messages on.”
NHTSA complaint #11671810, filed 2025-07“I was T boned and my car is totaled, I have a TBI now along with other medical issues because when I was hit no air bags deployed. If air bags would have been deployed my injuries wouldn’t be so bad . Also it’s Brand new. It’s a 2025. I’m the original owner.”
NHTSA complaint #11631023, filed 2024-12“On March 2, 2026, the airbag warning light and seat belt warning light suddenly illuminated on my vehicle’s dashboard. This issue is extremely concerning, as it directly affects critical safety systems designed to protect occupants in the event of a crash. I immediately took the vehicle to an authorized Toyota dealership for inspection. However, the dealership refused to repair the issue under the manufacturer’s warranty, claiming that the problem was caused by “physical damage.” I strongly dispute this claim, as no accident, impact, or misuse occurred that could justify such damage. …”
NHTSA complaint #11728618, filed 2026-04“The contact owned a 2025 Toyota Camry Hybrid. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact's vehicle was involved in a multi-vehicle crash. The contact's vehicle slid on ice and crashed into another vehicle. The contact's vehicle then crashed into a metal guardrail. In addition, the contact's vehicle was then rear-ended by another vehicle, in which the other vehicle's hood ended up underneath the contact's vehicle, where it came to a stop. The air bags did not deploy. …”
