“My vehicle has 24k miles on it and I am starting to frequently notice that when I push on the gas pedal that the car hesitates and it takes it a few seconds to go forward. This does not seem like this is normal and could cause an accident if I ever needed to accelerate very quickly. This has happened at stop lights and while in motion on the highway.”
NHTSA complaint #11360712, filed 2020-09, 25,000 miles“My car has very little power. I am afraid to make left hand turns in traffic because I never know if the car will move with proper and accurate speed. The vehicle has had a recall of the fuel system for which the manufacturer does not have a fix for. My tires constantly lose air since the day I bought the car. My gas tank access door doesn't open properly, also since I bought the car. The dash screen goes off spontaneously.”
NHTSA complaint #11383450, filed 2020-12, 8,000 miles“I recently purchased a 2019 Camry pre-owned. It ran fine for a week until it would start a jerking motion and the engine just turns off while I am driving. I am concerned that this could cause an accident especially on a busy highway. Thankfully I was near an autozone. While in the jerking motion, the check engine light comes on and the steering wheel locks. This is the 3rd time in a week that the car has stalled out while driving.”
NHTSA complaint #11329985, filed 2020-06, 31,000 miles“A recall is out, but yet, a remedy hasn't been given. It's a very obvious issue, and it needs to be fixed. It even says that a crash could occur because of this problem. I have 3 kids I haul around, so I am risking their safety, along with mine.”
NHTSA complaint #11397371, filed 2021-02, 38,000 miles“I purchased my 2019 Camry in nov 2019. It has a tendency to be sluggish and I thought it was due to it being a 4 cylinder until I received the recall. Now, I am concerned about taking trips anywhere for fear of it stalling out.”
