“The windshield in my 2019 Toyota Camry seems to have crystals and chips in it. I notice this as soon as I purchased it, when light reflects on it. There also seems to be scratches. It is a new car only had 27 miles on it when I purchased it.”

NHTSA complaint #11298217, filed 2020-01, 27 miles

“My 2019 Toyota Camry LE has just started about 2 weeks ago. My windshield wipers go on by itself. I have seen a recall on this exact point but now can't find it now. A short somewhere.”

NHTSA complaint #11720821, filed 2026-02

“Vehicle sunroof exploded while driving home from work. The interior sunroof screen was 90% closed causing only a few pieces of glass to fall into the car striking myself while driving. When the incident occurred, it sounded like a shotgun going off over my head causing me to duck and swerve almost into another vehilce on the road. This is the second such incident involving this car and it happened on the exact same road within a half a mile of the previous incident 3 years earlier. No rocks or debris caused this. Possible elevation change due to going uphill on hwy. …”

NHTSA complaint #11573024, filed 2024-02

“Car manufacturer like Toyota has automatic high beam installed in all of their vehicles since 2017. It causes extreme discomfort for other car drivers on the highway, especially those driving in same direction. The high beam from the car behind reflects on the driver in the car with in front via the side mirror. The problem is exacerbated due to white lights on these cars. The glare from the car behind is so much, that eventually I have to lower my side view mirror such that I cannot even see the cars behind. This is becoming increasingly frequent issue on the highways and interstate.”

NHTSA complaint #11170998, filed 2019-01

“The contact owns a 2019 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that the panoramic sunroof was stuck open. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the sunroof motor had failed, and the sunroof cables and tracks were stuck. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 89,330.”
