The driver's side mirror quit working and then the driver's side power lock switch and then the passenger's side front window control stopped working the air conditioner compressor was replaced at about 45,000 miles and has gone out again just recently. The power steering unit leaks oil.”

Has to be replaced $2500.00, the car will not shift into 3rd gear, if we stop it won't go any farther. If we stop turn off the car and wait a min. It will start and go until you have to slow the car down, then you stop and turn off the engine. …”

NHTSA complaint #713864, filed 1999-10

“Tires had very uneven and premature wear, caused by improper rear end alignment. Cooling system overheated, and did not have a system that shuts the engine down in order to protect engine components. Thus, the engine on my vehicle overheated and damaged the head gasket, water pump, and timing belt. Each had to be replaced. The power window regulator has failed on all but one window, ritht rear, of my car. I have spoken to other owners of 1993-94 Toyota camrys who have experienced the same problem. I believe that the design of this regulator is severly flawed.( DOT number: )”

NHTSA complaint #700218, filed 1998-10

“Passenger door regulator cable snapped, causing window to drop. Unable to close window. Manufacturer repaired driver's side two year ago. But refused to repair passenger's door. Cost goes to consumer. Can hntsa help in this matter or provide additional information.”
