“The contact owns a 2010 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated that while driving 60 MPH, a burning odor and smoke emitted from the driver's side door control switch. The contact stated that he disconnected the switch as a temporary remedy to prevent a possible fire. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the technician diagnosed that the master switch needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and offered to cover half of the repair costs. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 31,800.”
