“Intermittently as I press on the brake, the engine loses power, engine feels like it is going to die and the charge meter on the dash display drops to no charge. Right before the engine dies the engine regains charge on the dash display charge meter and the engine returns to normal. So far the engine has never totally died on me yet.”
NHTSA complaint #11696024, filed 2025-10“When starting into traffic from a dead stop - stop sign, merging, traffic light - the car hesitates acceleration. It stumbles and shudders like it has run out of gas for h n it has not. This puts me in danger when pulling out into traffic since the car does not take off properly. The car has 16,151 miles on it and this issue has begun within the last 60 days. It has had no previous problems. I have not yet taken it to a dealer. There are no warning lights lit wh n this happens. The date below is the most recent.”
NHTSA complaint #11671241, filed 2025-07“When driving off from a stop it seemed like my car was hesitating when pressing the gas. Has done this a few times now, the first time I was not sure if that happened or not. But after about the fifth time I’m like what’s going on. I have just over 4000 miles on my car. When you pull out in traffic and your car won’t pickup speed you’re waiting for a rear end collision. I was reading online where others have had the same problem. When I go for my 5000 mile check will ask the dealer about it but I’m sure they will say no not any problems. …”
NHTSA complaint #11607126, filed 2024-08“2024 Crown Hybrid system keeps popping up on dash saying warm lamp came on twice: third time Warning lamp turned. Vehicle has been serviced twice at same dealer and then taken to another for same problem. The problem has not been resolved. Dealership indicates cannot duplicate problem. I have even shown the dealership from photo and not able to resolve.”

There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where the vehicle was diagnosed, and the contact was informed that no cause for the failure was found with the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 7,000.”
