“I am concerned that the label on my truck which contains information about the weight load bearing is wrong, because both leaf springs on my truck broke and I wasn't carrying a heavy load, or more than what is recommended. How do I pursue a dispute with a recall? Truck was in motion on a dirt road when I was hauling an atv and I noticed that my bed looked off balance.”

NHTSA complaint #11244567, filed 2019-08, 61,000 miles

“Both my truck and my dads truck make model and year and both of the frame are rusting on the frame and frame welds as well as the leaf springs are rusting and starting to flatten out while parked and the drive shaft and the rear differential is starting to rust very quickly as well they are just daily drivers and we keep them very clean and live in florida so we don't have road salt”

NHTSA complaint #11218666, filed 2019-06, 15,000 miles

“My frame of my truck rotted from the inside out and now I don’t qualify for their safety safety program, they only give you enough time and cover it up with a coating so by the time you realized it’s fully rotted through it’s too late.”

NHTSA complaint #11758023, filed 2026-08

“truck frame, welds, seams, control arms, calipers, ball joints etc....all have significant rust. the drivers side rear fender to frame support has completely rusted through. i am stunned by the amount of rust underneath this vehicle. there are several areas close to perforating but no holes. toyota inspected my frame last week and said it was fine and to schedule the CRC treatment. the alloy rims are also severely pitted and bubbled due to rust. there is not a component underneath this truck which does not have significant rust . i live in NYS and wash under the truck weekly in the winter. …”
