“I've had my truck for about 1000 miles. Four times while I was driving with the adaptive cruise control engaged I've had a vehicle pass me in an adjacent lane, then slow down to below my speed. Every time, the adaptive cruise control abruptly applied the brakes to slow my vehicle down for no apparent reason thereby putting me in danger or being rear-ended.”
NHTSA complaint #11191571, filed 2019-03, 1,000 miles“I was drivin in the highway 65 m/h and I was using the cruise control, just as it passed through the ezpass toll booth the pre-collision system activated and brake abruptly,I also feel that when you drive about 60 miles per hour you apply the brake I feel small vibrations in the car and finally the 4x4 control knob is close to the fan knob and by mistake I connected the 4x4 when I want to turn on the fan I think it should have something like security to not be connected so easily”
NHTSA complaint #11306435, filed 2020-02, 5,500 miles“While driving on cruise control the engine shifts to a higher gear for no reason resulting in higher gas usage. I also noticed while having the radar on while on adaptive cruise control, the vehicle will automatically slam the brakes for no reason resulting me in a bad situation due to traffic. The system engages the brakes for no reason even though the vehicle that the system is detecting is not even close to me in the front. Please fix this cruise control issue”
NHTSA complaint #11208499, filed 2019-05, 1,200 miles“Unprompted acceleration - while driving at about 15 MPH in moderate traffic, I accelerated briefly and then let off the gas pedal. After releasing the gas pedal, the truck continued to accelerate and even downshifted, causing the truck to lurch forward. Conditions - I was in light to moderate traffic on my commute to work. The traffic was stop-and-go. The cars ahead of me accelerated, so I did as well. The cars ahead of me quickly decelerated, so I let off the gas but did not need to brake as I was a safe distance. …”
NHTSA complaint #11383510, filed 2020-12, 13,735 miles“Full tank of fuel and dashboard is showing 30 miles until empty warning. I have received the engine warning ⚠️ sign on my dashboard as well when this happens. This issue also affects me on the road when I am pressing the accelerator and the engine will not respond, this gas been an issue since they did the fuel pup recall. With a delay in acceleration comes a delay on the brake system as well, two intenses that I've had to press my foot as hard as possible on the brake to avoid a collusion with another vehicle. The last time this happened was on 4/17/2022”
