“After I diagnosed a parasitic battery draw when the car has been off overnight. I found the auxillary water pump for the intercoolers still running drawing 5 amps when the car is off. This is the same exact issue I found with the recall 18v-248 I'm quite lucky my car didn't catch on fire yet.”

NHTSA complaint #11110158, filed 2018-07, 110,000 miles

“I purchased this car in june of 2019. I received a carfax report before the purchase. The car was very clean inside and outside. I was pleased with th car until it started smoking every time the engine got warm. I had to keep adding oil almost every two to three days. Every time I stopped, for traffic , red light or started from a stop position blue smoke would come from exhaust and there is a horrible smell of burnt oil and antifreeze. …”

“While driving on the parking lot the vehicle suddenly jerking around and engine stopped. When tried to run the engine it was shaking tremendously and engine was not running. So I towed it to the dealer next morning for repair. After repair was done which took a week I drove it for about 40 minutes and then when I applied the brake it was shaking alot again every time I was applying brake. …”

NHTSA complaint #10498142, filed 2013-02, 42,500 miles

“I purchased a pre-owned 2010 Bmw 750LI back in november 2012. As soon as I drove it off the beverly hills Bmw lot, I got a check engine light go off. Beverly hills wrote it off as it was the gas sensor being sensitive. Found out later it was the fuel injectors that went bad on a car with 23,000 miles on. Fast forward 2 years later and 30,000 miles, with multiple stops at sterling Bmw and my complaints of having to put quart of oil into the engine every 2000 miles. …”

NHTSA complaint #10714503, filed 2015-05, 35,000 miles

“I was driving a Bmw 750LI 2010 on the freeway 70mph. Without warning, the engine stopped and the entire electrical system went off. I steered the car quickly to the shoulder. I only had enough momentum to pull my car to the side of the road. All systems were non responsive . I was unable to place the car in neutral for the tow truck. I was unable to call for assistance via the vehicles call system. I would have to assume that all the systems active safety equipment were useless since I had no power.”
