“My 2004 cad. Srx showed a left rear flat tire. I pulled the vehicle to a level, asphalted, scenic overlook area, 23 miles from page, az. I could not get the shifter from drive into park gear, nor would the key turn or release from the ignition. I got out to check and change tire, spare would not release, either. I called on-star, gave emergency details, to first advisor, then advance diagnostics. …”

NHTSA complaint #10143077, filed 2005-11, 15,700 miles

“2004 Cadillac SRX has service stability control message come up and reading several forums, seems to be a common occurrence with these vehicles. From what I've read, the condition gets worse to the point of endangering the driver and passengers. There needs to be a recall to fix this problem before people start getting injured. Also keep getting check tire pressure warning without the tires being low.”

NHTSA complaint #10354640, filed 2010-09, 40,000 miles

“While test driving a new cadilac SRX equipped with automatic all wheel drive, v-8 engine and 20 tires (oversided the reg 18 standard tires and wheels) vehicle steering froze making left hand turn going approx 10-12 MPH....right front tire and wheel . Failed...causing skid into curb....preliminary inspection showed failure of all wheel drive or right wheel lugs/tire failure causing loss of tire/wheel.”

NHTSA complaint #10050752, filed 2003-12, 900 miles

“The contact owns a 2004 Cadillac SRX. The contact stated that a tire blew out causing the vehicle to spin out of control and crash. The air bags failed to deploy. A police report was filed and one injury was reported that did not require medical attention. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 120,000.”
