“I purchased a new 2014 Cadillac SRX. After less than two years and 24,728 miles the dealer tells me my tires are worn out. I question the dealer because I have maintained the tires in accordance with GM and Cadillac guidelines. I did not understand why a 40k vehicle would have sold new would require new tires when less than two years old. The quality of the tires been sold on new vehicles needs to be investigated. This is a total misrepresentation to the consumer. Updated 10/06/15 updated 11/13/2017”
NHTSA complaint #10733332, filed 2015-07, 24,728 miles“The contact owns a 2013 Cadillac SRX equipped with michelin latitude tour tires, size: 235/55/r20. The tires were manufactured on april 15, 2013. The contact stated that the tires had tread separation. The contact also stated that the tread was separating in chunks. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to have the tires inspected. The contact was informed that all four tires needed to be replaced. The tires were not replaced. The tires were original equipment. The manufacturer was not notified of the tire failures. The approximate tire and vehicle failure mileage was 24,600. …”
