“On tuesday, july 21, I was at a stoplight on the corner of merrick avenue and stewart avenue in garden city, ny. While waiting for the light to turn green, there was a loud pop. I briefly left my automobile and saw that the sunroof was shattered. I turned at the light since my destination was less than a block from where the incident took place.”
NHTSA complaint #10745605, filed 2015-08, 119,000 miles“When it rains water leaks from the top of the vehicle and leaks inside the car through a plastic piece that says air bag and in the rear water leaks in and fills up where the jack is located and I'm afraid that the airbag will not work properly with the water leaking into it when it rains or I go through the car wash. Also the rear axle mount is broke and it cause the vehicle to make a lot of noise and I'm hoping the rear end doesn't come off while I'm driving because it will definitely cause a wreck.”
NHTSA complaint #11360681, filed 2020-09, 200,000 miles“Making a left hand turn onto my work parking lot, applied brakes to pull into my parking space and I heard a terrible grinding/shuddering noise and the brake pedal went to the floor. I didn't think I was going to be able to stop without hitting the concrete wall. The car finally stopped and then I saw the service stability system appear on the driver information center. Since I just purchased this vehicle used I looked this up and it appears this should have been considered as a recall GM needs to make before someone is seriously hurt or killed.”
NHTSA complaint #11288106, filed 2019-12, 182,000 miles“2005 Cadillac SRX ultra view glass roof exploded while driving 55 on highway route 9 south in ct. I was only car on road at the time, no other vehicle's in area, no bridges, and nothing in road. Weather was 75-80 degrees and overcast. I am certain nothing came into contact with the roof. It was closed, as was all the windows, when it just burst and exploded and glass showered down all into the cabin and on me.”
NHTSA complaint #10235690, filed 2008-07, 68,000 miles“My 2005 cad SRX stability system light is coming on recurring. Mechanics can't figure out the problem and just keep resetting the sensors. The car lurches and brakes itself on the highway and I'm afraid of an accident.”
