“The contact owns 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle vibrated abnormally. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed, and the contact was informed that no failure was found with the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 59,000.”
NHTSA complaint #11662314, filed 2025-05, 59,000 miles“While operating the vehicle, the front electric drive motor suffered a failure, triggering reduced propulsion warnings and rendering the primary electric powertrain inoperable. The vehicle was towed to an authorized GM dealership service center, where the defect was confirmed. To replace the failed front drive unit, technicians had to drop the front subframe cradle and completely dismantle the front suspension and steering assembly. …”
