“While driving on the highway when I come across a rough spot that is unavoidable (with all the construction on the roads) my steering wheel starts rocking and it becomes very difficult to maintain control of the car. It resembles a flat tire. I have to really pay attention and keep the car in my lane. There is also a very noticeable rattle/noise/vibration under the car. I have had the alignment done and even purchased new tires, but so far nothing has helped.”

NHTSA complaint #10451084, filed 2012-03, 1,200 miles

“I was in a blizzard a few days ago on the freeway & got caught in a ditch, but thankfully got out. I wasn’t going that fast & couldn’t due to not being able to see through the snow well so I can drive safely. In order not to crash because there were semi trucks around, I had to whip the steering wheel along with the weight of the car on the snow in order not to crash due to the car being big & it was sliding pretty heavy & somehow a couple things went out of wack after turning my steering wheel. Definitely a scary experience. …”

NHTSA complaint #11638640, filed 2025-01

“While backing out of the driveway heard a loud pop, thought I had run over something. Checked and saw nothing. Proceeded and heard another pop and the back tires began to rub. Had the truck towed to the nearest repair shop and was informed that the rear suspension had separated from the undercarriage and that the bolts were intact but there were cracks in the carriage causing the suspension rod to separate. The mechanic said that in 30 years he had never seen anything like it. Cost of repair is estimated to be in the thousands.”
