“The transmission oil cooler has broken at the seams and leaked twice on my vehicle, resulting in a loss of transmission fluid, causing the vehicle not to move and to potentially be a fire hazard. This first happened in 2017 and I had the unit replaced; then happened again in 2019. Must be a defect. Now I no longer feel safe driving the car.”

NHTSA complaint #11306153, filed 2020-01, 106,000 miles

“On the 2013 Dodge Durango that I currently own which I purchased brand new in june 2013, the navigation and camera system goes completely blank while driving or backing up. The vehicle started accelerating while in drive gear, as well as the transmission fails to work properly and skips second gear, the vehicle also idles high and low while in operation of drive.”

NHTSA complaint #10560723, filed 2014-01, 20,100 miles

“When driving the car automatically stalls while in drive so I have to put it into neutral then back into drive and then it drives again. This has happened about 4 times I have taken the car back to the dealership and they seem to think and tell me they found nothing wrong. They say no warning lights were on. I explained to them that no warning lights appeared when this happens.”

NHTSA complaint #10605498, filed 2014-06, 24,114 miles

“Takata recall. I could feel my car was not shifting properly then finally my check engine light came on & I went & got the code p0730 read it came back as gear ratio. Something to do with the inside of the transmission.”

NHTSA complaint #11169885, filed 2019-01, 111,000 miles

“When accerating from a stop or even slowing down to make a turn and attempting to get up to speed, the vehicle dogs like it wants to die. Even when getting from the one ramp to the highway there is a hesitation. The RPM's go down rapidly, then I have to press the gas pedal down to get the vehicle to kick in to get it up to speed.at one point, I had to press the gas pedal down to get the acceleration I needed to avoid getting rear ended by a semi. …”
