“Last night my transmission blew up for the 2nd time. The first time the van was a year old. This time I am past my warranty, but the brakes locked up on me & 2 of my children almost ended up in the pompton water falls. The dealership and manufacturer basically told me oh well--your on your own. This should not have happened twice in three years.. This is a dangerous situation and I hope you can help prevent this from happening to others... My van was meticulously cared for... This should not have happened!! Thank you for any help you can give me..”

NHTSA complaint #10070671, filed 2004-01, 45,000 miles“Air conditioning system had to be fixed within 3 years of having the car- which was bought brand new in 2000. We spent over 2k dollars to fix a huge leak and repair the two systems in the car. I (since 2005) am now seeing that the air stops cooling if I idle or we drive for too long, it will no longer blow out the front nor be cool...it blows out the top (like the defroster) and is not cooled.”
NHTSA complaint #10163048, filed 2006-07“1. Nothing 2. The fan belt on our 2000 Grand Caravan has needed to be replaced minimum of seven times in the past two and half years 3. Our mechanic has fixed the problem, without charging for his labour, all seven times. He has been in contact with chrysler. After the first couple of fan belt problems, they sent him a kit that repairs fan belts. We still have the problem. Chrysler denies any faulty mechanics on their part. We have the past three faulty fan belts.”
NHTSA complaint #10126767, filed 2005-06“The consumers child does not fit properly into the integrated child safety seat which say it holds children 22 lbs. And over, the straps are very loose even at the tightest position. Nlm”
