“I purchased my Dodge Grand Caravan from the previous owner in 1998. At the time no paint problem were present. Then gradually the roof starting peeling and becoming rusty, now the hood is doing the same thing. I called crysler and asked if the paint was recalled. They said no. They said they could not repaint the roof or any part of it because it was past the one year warranty on the paint.”

“This vehicle has a documented paint chipping off problem. The paint is chipping off the vehicle driver's side. The previous owner told me that the paint has been chipping off when he bought it new. The passanger side has been repainted by the previous owner with chrysler/Dodge's knowledge. I have contacted the chrysler/Dodge dealership and chrysler/Dodge customer service, they know that it is a problem and has offered to pay 50% of the cost of repainting the driver's side. I believe that this is a manufacturing defect and they chrysler/Dodge should pay for the total repair cost. …”
