“When driving down the highway for the 3rd time the traction control light came on and the car just started slowing down. When I turn the car off and back on it goes off, so far it has not come back on or happened happened again. When the happened the second time I got home turned the car off and the wipers came on. Not sure if that is related but it is unusual.”

NHTSA complaint #11229450, filed 2019-07, 127,000 miles

“The first time it happened a month ago, it was a similar issue that resolved itself within about 10 minutes. But the second time it happened 7 days ago, it lasted longer and unfortunately I had my 14 month old in the car. I was puling out of a parking space one late afternoon and proceeded to drive forward and noticed that it was reving very loudly even though it was barely moving. …”

NHTSA complaint #11013141, filed 2017-08, 115,100 miles

“Vehicle was in motion for awhile, car was running okay until I came to a stoplight and then all of a sudden my car goes limp. My vehicle makes loud/hard clank noise. Loss of power, wrench light came on. Pulled over, loud/hard clank sound with every gear change p-2. Vehicle had displayed no issues prior to this. I am able to pull the car over, turn it off and take they key out of the ignition. Then the wrench light is off when I restart the car. …”

NHTSA complaint #11244064, filed 2019-08, 123,129 miles

“The wrench light and airbag lights were on. My speedometer wasn't working. Transmission was clunking. The powertrain (wrench) & service engine signals come on after experiencing loss of speed such as after a traffic light stop. We have to push down far on the gas pedal just to move and this is followed by rough shifting (makes a sudden jerk and loud thud sound). Everything goes back to normal for awhile when the vehicle is turned off; its like the car resets itself.”

NHTSA complaint #11243549, filed 2019-08, 70,000 miles

“Bad electronic throttle body and it's sensor. This is a common and costly repair with Ford vehicles but they have refused a recall. It is dangerous as it causes your vehicle to completely shut down while driving. It happens frequently when accelerating or randomly when driving at various speeds. The first time it happened I was driving 60 MPH and my car suddenly shut down and locked up then was unable to start so I had to get it towed.”
