“For 2-3 weeks, smelled gas vapors when we got near the car to go somewhere. I got under the car and took a photo of a rust spot with gas staining near it. It looks like it was part of a recall (14v682000) but our car was not included. When I asked the dealer about it they said they took care of the recall on one of our previous visits. I had to pay for a new gas tank.”

NHTSA complaint #11361301, filed 2020-09, 76,949 miles

“P0301 misfire in the engine and P0201 fuel injecter both should be recalled on all 2007 Ford edges as me and another lady both wrecked hitting a small poles and the business owners was nice and said to make it home safely since there was no damage. I have done plenty of research and Ford is refusing to do any recalls on the spark plugs in the engine and the fuel injecter. Please recalls those so no one gets seriously hurt from it.”

NHTSA complaint #11551180, filed 2023-10, 177,516 miles

“My 2007 Ford EDGE SUV has the same fuel tank leak issue as Ford recall number 14s22 but is not part of the recall. I do not know where it was originally sold but it is registered in tennessee. My concern is the same as listed in the recall, a fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.”

NHTSA complaint #10683117, filed 2015-02, 85,000 miles

“Car has sudden loss of power, accelerator doesn't work, but the car doesn't actually die out. This happens at all speeds, this is extremely dangerous on highways and in traffic. The wrench light comes on. This is a known problem with many fords and the fix is the throttle body replacement. Ford has a customer service deal going on to fix it, but my year of car hasn't been included although I have the exact issue.”

NHTSA complaint #10992311, filed 2017-05, 175,000 miles

“After I filled up my gas tank two days later when the car parked.. I notice a strong gas smell near the rear left tire. I looked down to found out it was the gas tank leaking from the top. 2007 Ford EDGE gas tank leaks”
