“Driving on us highway 27, 65 MPH at night. Car just stopped dead on the road, no warning, plenty of gas. I could have been killed! Had it towed to Ford dealer was told it was the fuel pump. I searched the internet and found for my year, make and model a recall for the fuel pump. But, according to my VIN my vehicle isn't covered. How is this possible since its the same problem on the same vehicles?”

“Takata recall I purchased my 2012 Ford EDGE sel april 22, 2019. Today, may 31st 2019 on my way horne from work the vehicle lost steering and power. I had just passed a semi-truck on a small farm town black top road and came up on a stop sign. In the process of turning to the left from the stop the incident occurred. Luckily I was able to make it out of the road. After several attempts to restart the vehicle I had to find an alternate way home. …”

NHTSA complaint #11217220, filed 2019-06, 123,000 miles

“While driving on the freeway we noticed a gas smell coming through the air conditioner. When we stopped on an off ramp, smoke started to come through the air conditioning vent. We turned the car off and evacuated. Within a few minutes the car was engulfed in flames. There is a recall on file that affects the fuel lines but it says Ford claims that our VIN isn't included in that batch.”

NHTSA complaint #10537171, filed 2013-08, 22,000 miles

“I was having an engine light come on intermittently sometimes even just after my vehicle had been in for warranty work. It would sometimes even make a stalling engine sound when I filled the tank with gas. With the light on one of these occasions I took it to autozone and was told that two of the 02 sensors were bad. The next day I took the vehicle I'm to find out that a cannister purge valve had gone bad and needed to be replaced. A week later I get a recall on my 2nd vehicle, a Ford focus 2014 for the cpv.”
