“On June 20th 2026 while driving my 2023 Ford Edge SEL AWD at approximately 35mph on an active hwy (93 AZ NB in Wickenburg AZ) the vehicle experienced a sudden catastrophic loss of motive power and came to a sudden stop in a jerking motion. The vehicle completely disabled itself without warning in live traffic, presenting an immediate and severe safety hazard to myself and surrounding motorists. …”

The contact stated that while driving at approximately 35–40 MPH with her two daughters occupying the rear seats, they heard an abnormal sound of fluid in the vehicle. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact was able to determine that the abnormal sound was caused by the fuel in the fuel tank swishing around. The contact called the local dealer, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. …”
