“I received a letter from Ford about nov/dec 2017 advising me of the recall issues for my vehicle. I have not been able to speak to a Ford customer service rep, and my dealer nor the finance company know what to do. I received a more recent letter from Ford with options and stating that the parts required are still not available. I need to speak to someone because I am afraid of all the recall issues surrounding my vehicle. …”

“I contacted the NHTSA in may of 2009 because Ford motor company refused to honor my warranty and give my a car that was drivable. I purchased a brand new Ford EDGE with 45 miles. The dealer told me to hit the road after three service request, to repair my car delivered with a bad frame. I have been forced to drive this car for almost one year now with no help from anywhere. I complained at least four times to NHTSA about my steering, suspension and my brakes failing. Toyota owners get help, but not americans. …”

“I have only had EDGE since 2017 and I purchased it out right and I am noticing some things that are not right. Hard to stop and wobbling wheel on front driver side and makes like a rubbing noise. Brakes on it our wearing out alot faster and I have already had a blowout on highway on that tire and they had to tow it and it cost me almost $500 to get it out and its tread is getting worn down alot faster as well. I seen on here that there is a spindle issue?”

NHTSA complaint #11209784, filed 2019-05

“The contact owns a 2009 Ford EDGE. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 30 MPH, burning oil fumes were emitted into the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a dealer for a diagnostic testing. The technician stated there were no failures detected from the vehicle. The contact stated the vehicle was taken weeks later to an independent mechanic. The mechanic stated there was a broken seal from the axle which needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated the vehicle was not included in any recalls. The vehicle was not repaired. …”

NHTSA complaint #10486339, filed 2012-11, 60,000 miles

“The contact owns a 2009 Ford EDGE. The contact stated that the suspension was faulty and the brakes failed. When she depressed the brake pedal at 8 MPH, she heard a loud grinding noise and the vehicle would not stop. If the ABS had not engaged, she would have been unable to stop completely. The dealer test drove the vehicle and could not find any failures. The contact informed them that the suspension needed to be repaired first and then the vehicle should be test driven at over 40 MPH in order to duplicate the failure. The dealer informed the contact not to bring the vehicle back. …”
