“My EDGE you have to put it in park after you start driving it to get it to go. Then it will drive ok for awhile then you have to do it again. I'm afraid that I'm going to get rear ended and get hurt. Im driving in town when this happened”

“I own a Ford EDGE 2009 car had been over heating for little while. Air condition would work when driving when I come to a stop it would over heat. I would need to turn on the heat to allow it to cool back down. Had to replace the double fan assembly cost right at $600.00”

NHTSA complaint #11040719, filed 2017-10, 106,000 miles

“2009 Ford EDGE -- major issue-- Ford needs to cover costs--- I was driving my 2009 Ford EDGE sel approx. 4 miles. Once I rolled to a stop at a traffic light the car began to idle and then stalled. No warning lights.. I started the engine and pressed the gas (no acceleration). The engine ran at around 1-2k RPM. I pressed the gas again, no acceleration. I shut off the car called aaa for a tow. I started the car once more to check the gauges, no service lights. When I checked the other indicators it stated, car temp -- ok, oil pressure - ok, etc... All ok.. No warning lights, no issues. …”

NHTSA complaint #10485326, filed 2012-11, 82,000 miles

“At speeds below 5 MPH as well as speed 35-45 MPH the transmission will run away race beyond foot pedal control. Immediate brake pressure is necessary to avoid accident and also shifting to neutral to regain control. Occurs with no warning. Requires emergency reaction time.!!! Has happened numerous times since dec.2020 thru yesterday feb.22,2021.”

NHTSA complaint #11397551, filed 2021-02, 109,700 miles

“2 years ago car started losing power so took to garage for tune up. Changed spark plugs. They said that I needed one of the coils changed as well. Costly job. This did not fix the issue. Took to another shop who said that the computer needed to be changed because computer was burning out the coil. Have picture of burned coil. Again, this time replaced computer and coils ( all 6 coils. $2000 fix. Almost year later again same issue. Go back to same garage, covered in warranty. Explains to me that this is something Ford is aware of and has done nothing about. Boards are shorting out coils. …”
