“Noticed substance in garage coming from truck that was oily. Brought to my service center and it was concluded that there is an oil leak from the engine oil pan rtv seal. Apparently this is due to a lack of rtv adhesion. How is this not a recall? This is a major repair and expensive at that. I just want to understand more as this affects more than just my model and year Ford vehicle.”
NHTSA complaint #11388125, filed 2021-01, 70,000 miles“My 2015 Ford EDGE has had the engine light turn on and off since april. After finding out that there is a misfire in the 4th cylinder, we replaced the spark pugs and the problem seemed to go away. However, about a month later, the engine light was back on and the car was have difficulty on cold start. Took in to Ford and was told coolant is leaking into the 4th cylinder and the only fix would be to replace the entire engine.”
NHTSA complaint #11355273, filed 2020-09, 63,000 miles“Exhaust in cabin way beyond permissible limits from day 1. I suspected the firewall was allowing exhaust into interior, but then I started suspecting the rear was allowing exhaust in due to an air eddy recirculating behind the vehicle allowing exhaust into the cabin via lower rear door seal not sealing tight enough via the automated door closure not sufficiently forming a seal.”
NHTSA complaint #10954355, filed 2017-02, 500 miles“My car has lost all power while driving multiple times. The dash says full power accessory active . I have to put the car in park and restart it. The last time I was driving 60 MPH on a busy highway so this could have been a very dangerous situation especially if I was somewhere that didn't have a an area for me to pull over or had I been stuck in the middle lane! This needs to be recalled immediately!”
NHTSA complaint #11113556, filed 2018-07, 56,400 miles“I started my car and turned on to a busy street. My car then slowed to an almost immediate stop. I received an error message stating hill assist unavailable (I wasn't on a hill at all), then a wrench light appeared along with an engine light and airbag light turned on as well. I was unable to accelerate when pushing the petal. Meanwhile there is traffic behind me forced to move around my vehicle almost causing serious accidents.”
