“The 2004 f150 sc has a few problems: first was the water leaking from the third brake light in which I had to apply silicone around the rubber seal of the light...never leaked again. Second issue was far more frustrating, when traveling around 40 to 50 MPH when deciding to accelerate quickly the truck would act as if it was being starved of fuel. The best way to describe it was by depressing the accelerator and releasing it very quickly. I took it to the wonderful Ford dealership, sarcastic, and they told me nothing was wrong, and shop manager told me it was because of cold air intake... …”
NHTSA complaint #10194073, filed 2007-06, 32,000 miles“Captain chairs on lariat pick-up are unacceptable. The seats appear to have a t shaped substructure, which is pressing up into where the passengers' buttock rest. I can best describe it as sitting on a hard bicycle seat. Dealer and Ford indicate that this is not a defect. It is a design issue and will not accept accountability.”
NHTSA complaint #10095658, filed 2004-10, 500 miles“Truck bought in oct 2003, 4x4 supercrew lariat with light colored seats. Leather seems to turn black and fade only after a few months in lumbar and backs, plus armrest console. Basically wherever someone is sitting in the vehicle. They replace seat covers, but since may 2004, they were replacd jun 30, 2004 and nov 6, 2004. It is now march 2005 and still having the same issue. No one seems to want to get this problem resolved.”
