“I have a 2016 f150 lariat. While stationary and in motion my rear blindspot spot moduale keeps showing on my dash covering my sperdometer. When this happens I lose my heat, airbags, GPS, front power windows, power mirrors and power seats. I've been checking online of this problem and sounds quite common. This was happening about 3 times a day for about 2 weeks and now it stays to where its constant. Seeing this is on going with these vehicles I think the dealerships should be reliable to fix this expensive ongoing problem. …”

NHTSA complaint #11316028, filed 2020-03, 78,500 miles

“While parked, during automatic start, with vehicle warming up a smell of burning plastic was encountered when entering the vehicle. Investigation revealed the connector melting on the right seat temperature control module gu5t-14b663-aa located under the seat on the front passenger side.”

NHTSA complaint #11412823, filed 2021-04, 60,000 miles

“Had a fire start in the rear seat area while the truck was warming up in the remote start mode . The remote start was factory installed by Ford . The truck was declared a total loss”

NHTSA complaint #11171943, filed 2019-01, 130,000 miles

“While stationary (would also happen while in motion) in a parking lot with the engine running and driver and passenger seat heaters activated (driver on medium, passenger on high), a random clicking sound (believed to be the relay for the heated seats) was observed coming from under the passenger seat. It was then noticed that the heated seats were no longer functioning/providing heat, even though the lights on the controls were staying illuminated. A short while later, a burning (electrical) smell was observed in the cab, coming from the passenger side of the vehicle. …”

NHTSA complaint #11390572, filed 2021-01, 53,000 miles

“Seat headrest protrudes too much out of the seat and it pushes forward head of some drivers. The only adjustments available (slide up and down, tilt top forward) do nothing to alleviate the issue. The lack of ability to scoot the entire headrest backwards causes back and neck pain while driving for as little as 10 minutes. One solution people are resorting to is to re-insert the headrest backwards, but the tilting mechanism prevent the head from being stopped and sent backwards in the event of an accident. …”
