“I have not had any problems with the truck until now. Lately I t's not been cranking and the check engine light on. Sometimes it cranks fine and sometime it doesn't. I took it to auto zone and they got a communications code. I've heard a lot of complaints on this issue. I've also been told that the vehicle will shut down on you while driving.”

NHTSA complaint #11072130, filed 2018-02, 105,000 miles

“2010 Ford f150 stalls when going slow, and turning left. The oil light came on and I lost all power I had to put in park and restart. Took about 5 tries for the truck to restart. It did the same thing again about five minutes later while making another left turn. Also, died when I was sitting at a light preparing to turn right.”

NHTSA complaint #10836352, filed 2016-02, 66,600 miles

“My vehicle stop without warning. Had a 800.00 dollar tune-up. It has stopped several times since tune-up .I took it to two dealers they said they could not find any codes indicating their was a problem. It cuts off as I come to a stop or when I slow down to make a turn at slow speeds on city streets.”

NHTSA complaint #10909576, filed 2016-09, 98,000 miles

“Was driving my F-150 to work on a city street at a low speed less than 35 MPH when the truck stalled. It coasted to work, when I got off I put oil in it and it started and drove nearly home. Once I got home almost to my driveway the vehicle stalled again. I opened the hood and noticed there were issues with spark plug number 2. I replaced it and now there is a hole in the piston and a dropped valve. This vehicle is needing a whole new engine. Diagnosed by diers Ford. Vehicle not repaired.”

NHTSA complaint #11311764, filed 2020-02, 176,000 miles

“When making a left turn into oncoming traffic, the engine died which disabled the power brakes and power steering. After coming to a stop, I was able to start the engine and continue driving. I took the truck to the Ford dealer and they checked the computer codes and said nothing was wrong. As a side note, nothing is wrong according to them unless the computer finds an error code.”
