“Complete engine failure at 2,300 miles. The engine is a 2.7 V6 which has recently been documented as having potential engine problems per Motor Trend. The truck just stopped running with no warning.”

NHTSA complaint #11451956, filed 2022-02, 2,300 miles

“I have been trying to get a recall situated with Ford now for almost a year. They say they have no fix. I am making payments on truck and can’t use it like I should be. Even came out of my own pocket and had ford install a new fuel pump however problem came back. Just not fair I purchased a vehicle from A reputable company and they will not help me at all. Not even a loaner.”

NHTSA complaint #11730970, filed 2026-04

“24E08 for catalytic converter. Ford has a customer service program for other VINs. This is not included. This is a widespread failure based on forms I have read across various year. I have 95k miles and have owned for 4.5 years. They also stated the PCM software needs to be updated related to the catalytic converter. This is about a 3k repair. 24E04 covers this exact issue, but my VIN was on included.”

NHTSA complaint #11688317, filed 2025-09

“The truck rapidly accelerated while I was slowly rolling into a parking spot with my foot on the brake. The harder I pushed the brake the more it seemed to accelerate. I luckily avoided hitting anything. I forced the gear shifter out of Drive into park. No warning lights or messages. I contacted 3 Ford dealerships and all said they haven’t heard of this nor do they think they could identify this problem if I brought it in.”

NHTSA complaint #11736773, filed 2026-05

“This safety recall was issued in August of 2024 on an engine valve, this is the only vehicle I have. The engine valve has the potential to crack increasing my risk of crashing, I have a 3 year old. I called Tomball Ford last year in November and was informed they would have the parts by January 2025. It is now May 2025 and no parts or correspondence for the dangerous matter. In fact another recall has been issued”
