“My 2021 F-150 has been diagnosed with a failed electric steering gear Code PSCM C1B00 49 2F. I understand there was a recall on some 2021 trucks with similar steering issues, although my VIN is not included. The part is on national backorder and my dealer says there are approximately 150 vehicles ahead of mine. This is a safety-related steering component, part number ML3Z3504G”

NHTSA complaint #11759149, filed 2026-08

“I am getting a Steering Assist Fault message on my dash as well as code C1B00:49-2F. I took my vehicle to the Ford dealership and the deemed I have a faulty steering rack. I noticed there was also a recall out for other 2021 F-150's experiencing similar issues. My VIN was not included.”

NHTSA complaint #11770057, filed 2026-10

“Truck has 74,000 miles when i notice truck having issues prior to this my front wheels wearing unevenly truck eletric steering light up im being told has to be replaced from what im reading up on this shouldnt be having this type of issue and some models in 2021 did have issue”

NHTSA complaint #11692632, filed 2025-10

“My vehicle was left rendered unable to steer during use. It was taken to a local shop All Japanse Auto, who found the damage was consistent with Ford Saftey Recall 21S28. Upon speaking to AutoFair Ford of Haverhill service they informed me Ford did not include my truck in the recall despite it matching year and model and they would not be addressing the issue for me. Loss of steering mid use is amazingly careless and should be cause for taking more aggressive action”

NHTSA complaint #11758766, filed 2026-08

“The ford is a ford F150 2021 with only 47,000 miles on it. It is a well taken care of truck with all routine maintenance done. The power control steering module has completely gone out in my truck. Unfortunately this problem began to occur with my children in the car when a warning light came on and then the power steering completely went out making it extremely difficult to turn and steer the car. Thankfully this occurred on a backroad and not the highway. Needless to say, it is not safe to drive my car and is now sitting in the shop. …”
