“While backing up my truck the camera went out, so I turned the truck off and left it where I could. Luckily I safely in my driveway far enough. The next morning I went out and came back I tried backing in and the camera had reversed the whole image of the output (everything behind me was opposite). This is very dangerous if in a public area with kids or cars.”

NHTSA complaint #11524220, filed 2023-05

“Back up camera and warning stop not working while backing up. Most F150 pick ups are in the recall but mine is not for some reason even though it fails almost every time I back up. There is many children using the side walks in my neighbor hood creating a serious situation.”

NHTSA complaint #11694694, filed 2025-10

“Our 2014 Ford F150 is doing the same back-up camera distortions as the current recall and the Ford dealer says it's our problem. The back-up camera on lots of other Ford models need to be recalled.”

NHTSA complaint #11687465, filed 2025-09

“Backup camera only works intermittently. Most of the time the display just says rear camera unavailable, sometimes just a blue screen, and occasionally will display the image briefly, then go bluescreen/camera unavailable. Turning ignition off, then restarting may reset camera and briefly display the image, then bluescreen/unavailable again.”

NHTSA complaint #11669505, filed 2025-06

“The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked and attempting to reverse, the contact became aware that the rear-view camera was not functioning as intended. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the local dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 59,000.”
