“rearview camera displays a blank or distorted image. There was a recall, but my VIN wasn’t included. The camera went blank while I was backing into my driveway and I ended up hitting my boat trailer, which caused damage to my bumper. The screen display currently randomly goes from blank, distorted too very dark.”

NHTSA complaint #11699348, filed 2025-11

“My rear view camera freezes up when reversing, I think there is no one behind my truck because there is a still picture of the 1st image. It's hard enough backing up full size trucks without a camera, but it's even worse when the camera shows no one is behind me and at times there have been. I've asked the dealer where I bought the vehicle, but they always say There's no recall on your year for this problem .”

NHTSA complaint #11655617, filed 2025-04

“After purchasing my truck, it was discovered that the back up camera doesn't work. It will work on occasion when the truck is put in reverse. The safety for myself or others is that I cannot see behind me when backing up. I have not taken the vehicle in for an inspection since I have been told that this is an issue for other Ford F150's in the same year. When backing up my screen says camera not available.”

NHTSA complaint #11520079, filed 2023-05

“My truck backup camera is not working. It goes black or distorted to where you can’t see anything behind you. It identical to a recall on other 2019 Ford F150s. But my truck is not on that recall. If the problem is the exact same, shouldn’t it be fixed through the recall as well?”

NHTSA complaint #11529820, filed 2023-06

“Ford recalls 600,000-plus vehicles to fix backup cameras included the 2020 F-150 but not the 2019 F-150. My vehicle is experiencing the same issues. In fact the cameras have been replaced by the dealer 7 times and they are still not working. I feel this should be covered under the same recall as the 2020s”
