“Driving aprox.35- 40 MPH in our Ford f-250 when a car pulled out in front of us.. I hit the breaks and turned the wheels to the right. Point of impact was at the front of the truck (at the driver side bumper area). However no air bags went off. The impact was hard enough to total her car.”
NHTSA complaint #10049022, filed 2003-12, 8,040 miles“The contact owns a 2002 Ford f-250 superduty. The contact crashed into a vehicle while driving 65 MPH. The air bags did not deploy. The contact was injured as a result of the lack of the air bag deployment. A police report was filed. The vehicle was destroyed. The contact called the manufacturer who stated that they would take his information and would most likely investigate the failure. The current and failure mileages were 127,000.”
