“I just crossed over 15,500 miles and experienced the death wobble when going over a bridge. Will call dealer monday. This needs to be a mandatory recall as the steering wheel is literally jerked out of my hand. I was going approximately 50 MPH.”
NHTSA complaint #11309480, filed 2020-02, 15,500 miles“My 2018 Ford f250 super duty has a violent shake (death wobble) if I hit any kind of bump in the road at highway speed, my truck will shake so bad to the point I cant hold onto the steering wheel and whatever is in my cup holders goes flying in vehicle. I have given Ford 3 attempts to fix this issue and every time they try to fix it, the problem keeps happening. I have contacted Ford's corporate office and spoke with them multiple times about the issue. …”
NHTSA complaint #11193323, filed 2019-04, 19,000 miles“My truck has had the same problem twice now. The death wobble in my front end when in got over a rough patch of road or a bridge joint going between 55-75. It was fixed once while my warranty was active now since my warranty is up they will not cover it. Multiple times driving if I wasn't holding on tight or if my wife was driving there would have been an accident which could have been catastrophic. Needs to be a recall on this. Everything on my truck is stock and it happened roughly 15k and now at 43k miles. Im worried it will kill someone and me and or my family when we are in the truck. …”
NHTSA complaint #11317233, filed 2020-03, 15,000 miles“Truck is vibrating and wobbling while driving. Issue is causing loss of control of the vehicle which could easily result in a serious accident. I called Ford and they had us take it in on 01/19/2020 to have it repaired under warranty. Evidently this is an issue with this truck and is under recall. The truck was said to have been repaired but the vibration and wobbling happened again today 01/28/2020 which was seriously scary. The driver had to fight with the steering wheel to try to keep the truck on the road. …”
NHTSA complaint #11302655, filed 2020-01, 33,351 miles“After hitting a rough spot in the highway. Truck starts to shake uncontrollably. Have to pull over and almost stop to make it stop wobbling. Very dangerous problem.”
