Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“While routinely flipping the visor down during driving to block late day sun, the visor came unlatched from right side holder blocking my view while driving. It is a two handed operation to get it back into the clip. This is obviously not safe since you need at least one hand to drive. It almost completely blocks my vision until I get it re attached. This is not the first time this has happened and unfortunately I forget that it happens consistently. I have been very reluctant to use my sun visor. …”

NHTSA complaint #10627940, filed 2014-08, 61,621 miles

“Power sunroof track part (plastic) has broken making the sunroof stick open. The sunroof will not open or close as a result of broken plastic track piece. Ford motor company does not sell the part that has broken and only sells entire track costing over $1000 to have replaced. Replacement part required should be valued at approximately $20.”

NHTSA complaint #10682559, filed 2015-02, 66,000 miles

“2020 Ford Escape wipers keep stuttering, moving very slowly, freezing midway through cycle, or fail to operate during adverse weather conditions. This results in poor to no visibility sometimes with the wiper blocking vision directly. This is a known recall and Ford has refused to repair the wiper until the unveil their solution for all potentially impacted vehicles. They acknowledge that a wiper motor would repair our vehicle right now but told us to wait for months while they determine a global fix. Recall number we believe is 26S14. Both Ford America and local dealer will not perform work. …”
