“My 2022 Ford Maverick hybrid is known to have an issue with water leaking into the cabin from the cowl. This water is leaking onto the floorboards and there is some mold growing behind the electrical box. WHICH IS NOT GOOD AND IS SAFTEY AND HASZARD TO OUR HEALH TO BREATH THIS IN THIS NEED TO BE SENT OUT AS A RECALL AND FIX FOR FREE OR BUY BACK THE vehicle”
NHTSA complaint #11671874, filed 2025-07“Grabby brakes at low speed. Even after getting the suggested fix from Ford my vehicle still has the grabby breaks. There is also an issue where coming from a fast speed down to a lower speed the vehicle starts to vibrate violently until I either press the gas or press the break. Seems like the breaks are pulsing on and off very fast causing it to shake.”
NHTSA complaint #11516049, filed 2023-04“Braking issue at slow speed , jerky and unpredictable especially in reverse. hard to duplicate on demand but not real comfortable with this, going to dealer for updated resolution. But I've heard of bad feedback on results from others in my maverick owners club. I am hoping for a more permanent fix for our family investment.”
NHTSA complaint #11523081, filed 2023-05“Grabby brakes a slow speeds, poses a safety problem that Ford seems to ignore. I believe that Ford is not being proactive in finding a solution for this problem. Unfortunately it seems like someone can become injured due to this problem. The problem has been ongoing since I received the vehicle in 2022.”
NHTSA complaint #11550897, filed 2023-10“When coming to a complete stop at low speeds, the vehicle suddenly lurches forward unexpectedly which may cause an accident. It's not consistent, so it catches you off guard when it happens. I'm concerned that this may cause me to hit a another car or worse yet a pedestrian crossing an intersection.”
