“My vehicle failed to start due to a now corrected recall issue. When it did not start I attempted to jump start the engine and found that the car is missing its positive jump terminal on the engine so it is impossible to jump the car. It was sent to a dealership for repair but they never corrected the issue. It is still missing.”
NHTSA complaint #11653300, filed 2025-04“I was driving for about 10 minutes at speed 35 mph then noticed the car is in electric mode but unable to accelerate. It feels nothing happened when I depressed the gas pedal. The car came to a complete stop at traffic light but failed to accelerate when I pressed on the gas pedal. I turned off the car and started it back up and everything return to normal.”
NHTSA complaint #11602817, filed 2024-07“While driving at normal speeds. Car completely stopped working. Dashboard flashed to get to safe area. I could not shift the car neutral. Steering became stiff. The lights and infotainment was still on but the car had no power to accelerate. Had this been on the highway I would have been in a collision since my car went to the right very quick. Once car was stopped could not shift to neutral.”
NHTSA complaint #11743262, filed 2026-06“My 22 Lariat Hybrid lost power last Wednesday while I was driving it. I believe the engine was still running, but I couldn't accelerate. I parked, turned the truck off, then back on, and drove home. I was able to drive it to the dealership the next day, no problem, It's at the dealership right now. I haven't heard anything yet.”
NHTSA complaint #11582915, filed 2024-04“When I use my remote start option and just put my key in the ignition and start the truck it has a constant burning wire smell. If I come to the truck and turn it off after remote start and just restart it with the key I don't smell the burning wire. If I don't use the remote start option and just start my truck with the key I don't smell the burning wire smell.”
