“I was driving on the highway went to adjust my rearview mirror and my mirror just snapped from the windshield and broke off from the windshield also breaking the windshield as well took it to the ford dealership the car is just only 5k miles they wouldn’t even cover it said it was “excessive force” multiple people with the same vehicle had the same issue and they don’t want to cover it it’s $1000 to replace the windshield or you rearview mirror is just broke and the windshield is just cracked”

Replacement cost from Safelite around $1000 (It seems that the glass wasn't correctly laminated, meaning the top later peeled away easily with the mirror mount”
NHTSA complaint #11735446, filed 2026-05“The contact owns a 2024 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed and attempting to make a left turn, the contact was unable to see oncoming traffic in the passenger's side rearview mirror. The contact adjusted the passenger's side rearview mirror, but the failure persisted. The dealer was made aware of the failure; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to report the failure to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 400.”
NHTSA complaint #11627952, filed 2024-11, 400 miles“While driving approximately 55 mph on a four-lane highway around 8 p.m., the rear window of my 2024 Mustang GT 5.0 Premium exploded/shattered and is now visibly pulling away from the frame. The glass appears ready to collapse inward. Weather conditions were damp with light misting rain and a temperature near 55°F. The rear defroster was not in use, and there were no warning signs or cracks prior to the failure. Only one other vehicle was nearby, so it is not consistent with road debris. The explosion/shatter occurred suddenly and without impact. …”
NHTSA complaint #11696476, filed 2025-10“Cold weather. Warmed up the car for 10 minutes . all defoger for rear glass and winshield were used . There is accessive condenced water all over inside front and back window. started driving and used the wiper to clean the windshield and found out water is on the inside made the visability hard. Another issue with the Camera Visibility issue is daily in cold weather where the glass in front of the camera gets foggy and there is no way to clean as it foggs up inside the winshield and camera housing makes the auto break system not working . …”
