“My onstar is not working this is a hazard for me since the truck cannot be tracked if stolen or even worse if a accident does happen there is no way for onstar to help . My subscription is up to date and paid and now the dealer is telling me the truck has a issue with the onstar module”

NHTSA complaint #11651161, filed 2025-03

“Following engine replacement per NHTSA for 6.2l GMC engine. I am submitting a safety complaint regarding my 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali (refresh body style). The vehicle has experienced repeated failures of driver-assist features and safety system warnings, including: Dash messages: “Lane Keeping Assist System Unavailable” and “Service Safety Restraint System.” When the fault occurs, driver-assist features including Adaptive Cruise Control become inoperative. The issue has recurred multiple times, including after repairs. …”

NHTSA complaint #11720688, filed 2026-02

“For the past 6 months I’ve had issues with my crash avoidance system, steer assist and lane departure warning. The crash indicator light would illuminate on my dash for no apparent reason. That would disable my crash warning system, steer assist and lane departure warning but, I could still adjust my distance for my brake warning indicator. The other problems that are not safety related is cruise control and automatic high beam lights will not function. I researched the Internet and found this is not an uncommon problem for this year model. …”

NHTSA complaint #11755175, filed 2026-08

“While driving on a two lane highway at approximately 60 MPH the powersteering on my truck failed with warning lights on the dash. I limped it to a town where I could get it scanned and they could not figure out the issue. The issue was intermittent for a few days until it was non-stop. It took over a month to get the reconfigured part from GM to complete the repair, GM had to reconfigure the part to fix the issue I was having. A faulty powersteering control module was the probelm and it required replacement of the entire steering rack and alignment. …”

NHTSA complaint #11659185, filed 2025-05

“A few weeks ago my adaptive cruise stopped working, as well as the automatic high beam system (not sure the technical name). As there was a warning light displayed, I brought it into the dealership to have them check it out. The technician jumped in really quick, made some changes within the control panel, and the light came off. As I drove out and tried to use the adaptive cruise control, it didn't work and I almost went into the back of a truck. That all being said, I brought it back into the dealer last week for them to diagnose the problem as a failed front windshield camera. …”
