Towed to dealership. Diagnosis valve body spacer. This is our first GMC. Barely had it over a year. 78k miles. No warning lamps prior to failure.”

Engine failed in February of 24 however I had told dealership I was having troubles with Engine and shifting also tires from 1st 11000 miles it also kept reduce power on me and basically shut down 3 times in middle of hwy. The 6.2 engine locked up on the mechanic who was test driving it. Took 3 months”

NHTSA complaint #11645731, filed 2025-03

“Engine failed at high speeds on interstate. When my Truck shut off the steering and braking system went out and getting to shoulder of interstate was difficult with others around me. Express lanes were limited on emergency shoulder therefore my truck was partially on the high speed driving lane. 911 was called out to block freeway lane. Check engine light blinked right when truck shut down.”

NHTSA complaint #11729861, filed 2026-04

“Multiple times now my vehicle has had its engine locked up while driving at highway and regular uphill driving. Along with towing aswell. I have had it repaired multiple times and last time dealer wouldn’t tell me what happened because GM wouldn’t let them figure out what happened. Along with multiple attempts at fixing the transmission and brakes that are still on going issue. Same with the engine.”

NHTSA complaint #11738860, filed 2026-05

“I suddenly lost all power in my pickup. I'd try to accelerate and it would just lag and then all of a sudden it would gain power and take off. It wouldn't shift gears and I could not go over 30 mph, as it was running at about 2-3000 rpm. Once I was in a safe spot to stop, it would not shift into manual or reverse.”
