“When driving on the freeway for an extended amount of time I started to notice the steering wheel feeling sticky during minor adjustments. It almost feels like I'm moving the wheel off of the backside of a Post-It Note. It's subtle enough to be annoying but not significant enough to be dangerous unless it becomes worse.”

NHTSA complaint #11710516, filed 2026-01

“The dealer replaced some steering components around 25-30k miles. The problem with the steering sticking and locking up as never stopped. The dealer is saying it's the gearbox. I have 45,000 miles, now the dealer wants to charge me $4,000 to replace the gear box. It should be covered under a recall or replaced when I first took the car in for repair, while it was under warranty.”

NHTSA complaint #11710910, filed 2026-01

“My Steering rack started making a ticking noise every time i turn my wheel at 3 thousand miles. I talk to the delar tech about it he said we have alot of issues with those they can replace under warranty but still its gonna start marking the same noise because they dont have a permanent solution for it.”

NHTSA complaint #11713153, filed 2026-01

“I would like to file a complaint against American Honda Motor Company. My 2024 Accord Hybrid experienced a steering wheel sticking issue at 30,000 miles, but the steering rack assembly was replaced free of charge under warranty. However, after another year and reaching 60,000 miles, the same problem reappeared—the steering wheel is sticking again, especially noticeable when driving on the highway!”

NHTSA complaint #11711107, filed 2026-01

“I purchased this vehicle in January 2014 and it’s been giving problems since then. I have replaced the gas cap twice because it always gets stuck and I’m unable to open the door. I spoke to the Honda dealer where I purchased and they told me to contact American Honda. I have replaced my tires twice because once it blew on the freeway and the other time on the street out of nowhere. …”
