NHTSA complaint #11719291, filed 2026-02“I was driving down the highway when my sunroof exploded out of no where. No debris hit my vehicle. The explosion was extremely loud and spontaneous. My safety was put at great risk as there is nothing I could have done to prevent this problem. As I am going 75 miles an hour with vehicles behind me, my glass exploded. This glass could have fallen onto me while driving, seriously injured ,or even, and killed me. Luckily my sun shade was closed. The debris from my shattered sunroof could have seriously injured the vehicle behind me.”
