“Honda is using soy product on wiring and it attracts squireels to eat my wires. The rodents ate the wires three times so far. While driving with children in car, my breaks did not work properly. I also had no windshield wipers or lights. It was raining. It was so scary. I have video of the squirrels underneath the hood”

NHTSA complaint #10897701, filed 2016-08, 18 miles

“We were driving down a main road speed approx 45mph, it was 90-94 degrees out so AC was on and it was a severe rain storm. We had just left the highway and were on a main road highly traveled. We noticed it was warm in the car and the AC was blowing hot. All the sudden it was fogging the windows on the inside. We had to pull over to the shoulder in the middle of a storm because we could not see and with the defroster on it was fogging the window worse. We had our 2 children in the back of the van who were scared out of their wits we would be rear ended during the storm. …”

NHTSA complaint #10732222, filed 2015-07, 1,950 miles

“While parked, when starting the vehicle, the headlights and windshield wipers will not come on. After about an hour, they come back on. Happened twice so far. Only 9000 miles on the vehicle. The dealer says they have never heard of this. Can't find the cause of the problem.”

NHTSA complaint #10808855, filed 2015-12, 9,000 miles

“Back hatchback glass spontaneously shattered. Nobody was in the vehicle and it was in the garage. So- nobody was hurt; however, this may not have been the case had we been riding down the highway. From my research this is not the first time this has happened with this model vehicle. I plan to contact Honda today, if that is possible. I have pictures that show it could not have been hit by an object. It obviously was under pressure and caved from the sides.”

NHTSA complaint #11651664, filed 2025-03

“The contact owns a 2015 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated that while driving at 55 MPH, she heard a loud explosion. The contact pulled over and noticed that the sunroof glass had exploded. There was no impact on the sunroof that could have caused it to shatter. The dealer was made aware of the failure, but the vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 102,000.”
