“This has happened three times in the last month; (after doing some online inquiry see other complaints about this same thing happening): after accelerating, when I go to turn my vehicle, my vehicle will automatically shut off and my parking brake turns on. This has happened on major (high traffic) roads each time and presents a huge safety concern.”
NHTSA complaint #11315764, filed 2020-03, 21,000 miles“Ever since I have owned this vehicle from march 2018 when driving (in motion) my emergency brake will come on and shut me down, I have had enough! Yesterday 5/4/2021 I was almost hit by a semi because of this. Jeep has not acknowledged this issue. Car has been brought in to dealer multiple times but I keep being told they cannot recreate the issue ( as it is sparatic).”

I took it to the dealership in january and they couldn't replicate the problem so they couldn't resolve it. They had it from january 25th to february 14th. Now my car isn't starting and the hill brake is activating. I got a new battery and an oil change on monday, december 23rd.”
NHTSA complaint #11291253, filed 2019-12, 34,000 miles“I stopped at the stop light and the engine shut off with the normal function of auto start/stop but when I took foot of the brake the car stalled out in the middle of the road. After which there was loss of power steering and the parking brake would stay engaged. The loss of power steering made it really difficult to steer the vehicle off the road to safety.”
NHTSA complaint #11232968, filed 2019-07, 45,000 miles“The car stalls or does not start. When we hit the start button it clicks and then the display says the car is running. By no means is the car running. We have checked the battery and disconnected the battery to see if it would reset anything. No go. This has also been happening since we bought the vehicle two years ago. It has now decided it will not start at all.”
