“I bought a 2019 Jeep Compass limited 5 days ago all seemed well at first then on the fifth day I went on my lunch break and car would not turn on. Tried locking, unlocking, pushing the start button repeatedly. After about 20 minutes car started on the way to my destination the car stalled and would not turn on and after a few minutes finally restarted. At the destination car again would not turn on after being stationary.”
NHTSA complaint #11204568, filed 2019-04, 300 miles“This is my third complaint on this 2019 Jeep Compass. While driving the vehicle stalls and the emergency brake and other lights come on. The vehicle is unable to be restarted and has to be towed. The dealership has updated software, and now has said that the car is low on oil every three weeks and that's why it stalls in the middle of traffic extremely dangerous and I have a baby on the way!. The oil change indicator doesn't ever show up and the manufacturer just gives the run around.”

Three times because the start /stop kept coming on saying to have it serviced and because it stopped on me at a stop sign and would not go, had to turn it off and it craked again telling me start/stop has malfunctioned! Today1/26/2021 all lights on dash came on it lost power on the interstate and told me to stop have engine serviced now. Shut down would not crank had to call a tow truck to take to delearship. …”

I go home and park the car. About a hour later I come back out and try the car again and same thing windshield wipers moving while off, turn the knob to turn them off and 'service shifter' message pops up along messages about my lights being out, my A/C quit working and my break light came on! …”

I put my vehicle in park and tried to turn my vehicle on. I tried 3 times and it finally started. My vehicle started making weird noises; on my control panel it said start/stop not ready battery protection mode. I parked my car and let it cool of for 2 hours. I got in my vehicle, started, left my house, when I got to the stop sign. It did the same thing. Im honestly scared to drive my vehicle.”
