“Around 80,000 miles my car stopped accelerating and appeared to stay in 1st gear (I drive an automatic). Luckily, I was driving on a residential street. Then the check engine light, the traction light, and a red lightning bolt light turn on. When I took the car to the dealership they diagnosed the car needs a new throttle body, wiring, and a new battery. The battery ended up failing shortly after I brought it into the shop.”
NHTSA complaint #11195435, filed 2019-04, 79,000 miles“It is dealing with the trasmission temperature. Driving with or without the air conditioning on for a period of time of a speed of 60. The light comes on the car begins to make a whining noise and the car begins to lose speed or power. I than have to cut on the heater at a high temperature to help with circulation to the area. I have to pull over cut vehicle off. For 5 or more minutes then continue on until it starts over again. This has happened multiple times. No one can figure out what is wrong with the car.”

NHTSA complaint #11342725, filed 2020-08, 80,000 miles“Electronic throttle control and electronic stability control indicator lights turn on and vehicle goes into limp mode creating the inability to accelerate over 10mph. When pulling out in front of oncoming traffic, the Jeep stalls and then goes into limp mode. Serious safety concern with not being able to accelerate in these scenarios. Has happened ever since the Jeep had 50,000 miles and has continued to the point the vehicle is no longer drivable as of june 2020 (issues began in jan 2019). …”
