“The contact owns a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that the driver's side dome light failed to turn-off when the button was activated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with needing the body control module to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not under recall. The failure mileage was approximately 82,000.”

The dealer stated that the parts needed were not available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the delay. The contact had not experienced the failures, but stated that all of the interior and exterior lighting intermittently failed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The dealer was unable to diagnose the failure. The manufacturer was not notified. …”
